Marta Kloučková is a multi-genre singer and songwriter. She is one of the prominent young voices in Czech vocal jazz scene and a finalist of the prestigious international competition for jazz singers Voicingers 2017 and semifinalist of the highly acclaimed international competition Riga Jazz Stage 2018. She performs on the Czech scene as well as at international festivals (Slovakia, Turkey, Germany, Great Britain, Hungary, Bulgaria, Taiwan…). Marta performs with her own jazz quartet, where she cooperates with outstanding Czech jazz musicians  (Vít Křišťan – p, Jan Fečo – b, Marek Urbánek -ds). We are currently working on a debut album, which will be released in the fall 2018 by a slovak label Hevhetia.

Marta is a member of vocal a cappella sextet SKETY (along with Veronika Vítová, Alice Bauer, Michal Strnad, Štěpán Janoušek and Petr Wajsar). SKETY are the winners of the international a cappella competition 2014; their debut album received 4 nominations for the prestigious CARA 2015 Award. In March 2017 SKETY released a new album Týdytý (Warner Music), in October 2016 SKETY got a second place at an a cappella competition on Taiwan, in June 2017 they won two second places at prestigious international and cappella competitions in Aarhus (DK) and Tampere (FIN).

Marta collaborates with progressive Prague based big band Concept Art Orchestra, which focuses on original compositions of young Czech composers. She has worked with many musicians and projects (f. e. pianist Thierry Maillard, site-specific project Netykavka, South Bohemian Philharmonia) and is a sought-after studio singer. In years 2009-2015 Marta was a founder/leader/lyricist and songwriter at original pop-jazz-ambient band Nano Illusions (with Jan Aleš, Ondrej Hauser, Antonin Dlapa and Marek Antoňů).

Marta started playing the piano at the age of six, later she joined a children`s choir where she sang for six years. After graduating from a high school that preceded her one-year stay at a school in the U.S.A. (where she took singing, dancing and acting classes), she was admitted to the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory, where she studied musical theatre (Performing Arts) in 2008-2012. Marta was subsequently accepted to study at Jaroslav Ježek College (Jazz Singing), which she finished in 2017.

During her studies, Marta participated in many workshops (The Young Americans, Frýdlant Jazz Workshop, Czech Jazz Workshop), recently Marta attended master classes led by members of a cappella group such as New York Voices, Rajaton, and Real Group.

In 2015, Marta successfully completed a Master’s degree in Arts Management at the University of Economics in Prague. She teaches at the International School of Music and Fine Arts in Prague.
